Join us as we prepare for the Run-off Election, State Convention and schedule our swear-in of the new Precinct Chairs. 2026 Precinct Chairs will take over June 15, but won't be sworn-in till July. Whether you are an upcoming or current Precinct Chair, we need your help in the run-off! Please tell Co-workers, friends, family, etc about the Run-off up to get people to plan to vote!!!!
Who can vote in a primary runoff?
Texas has an open primary system, but voters effectively “choose” a party primary each election cycle.
If you voted in a party’s primary, you can only vote in that same party’s runoff.
If you did not vote in either primary, you can choose which party’s runoff to participate in.
You cannot switch parties between the primary and the runoff in the same election cycle.
